Here’s another harsh noise wall jewel from Dr. Alex’s Dead Body Collection. Despite the fact this material has been released back in 2010,
I had an urge to review this CD-R. The album is titled as ”Chromosomal Abnormality” and it includes two tracks with almost 80 minutes of material, driven
with lot’s of distortion, fuzz and heavy bass in the background. First track called ”Fragile X Syndrome” sounds like an neverending detonation, so powerfull and intense. It’s a pure avantgarde, hard to listen if you’re rookie in it, but I am pretty sure it will take a breath away to the hardline fans of harsh noise wall. I really dig the usage of white noise which is probably taken from some stereo and transformed through the loads of pedals.
Second track off this CD is ”XX Male Syndrome”, another good composition that’s starts without warning. It’s gives such a terrifuying expression,
like you’re being in the building which is constantly being demolished. So bleak and static, almost keeping you without a single clue what will happen next.
In some moments, it gives you a a feeling like everything will collapse in a matter of seconds and there will be no one to help you out. I have to admit, I was suprised when I saw the info on the back side of the cover. This stuff is not mastered at all, but still sounds like it was recorded with the professional equipment.
”Chromosomal Abnormality” comes in full colour cover artwork, packed in a plastic bag. It seems that Dead Body Collection was inspired by the abnormality of the human kind this time , since the front and back covers include human fetus on it. Anyway, cover and the tracks goes hand in hand on this release. Also, there are infos about the track titles, lenth of the tracks and recording info. Awesome record!
